Rocket WashThe Racine Raiders and Rocket Wash are teaming up to recognize and reward Racine Raiders volunteers for a job well done. Beginning the week of April 16, which is National Volunteer Week, Racine Raiders board members will select one volunteer each week to be recognized as the Rocket Wash Racine Raiders Volunteer of the Week. The recipient will receive a free Jupiter Wash valued at $18 from the Rocket Wash locations in Racine and Kenosha Counties. The award will be given out weekly until the end of the season.

One of the core promises of Rocket Wash locations is to “provide an out-of-this-world experience” to all of their guests. By earning the Rocket Wash Racine Raiders Volunteer of the Week honor, Rocket Wash and the Racine Raiders are recognizing individuals that the organizations believe are “out of this world” in their dedication to serving the community. Racine Raiders volunteers donated over 40,000 hours of their time to helping improve the Racine community.

“It’s wonderful to have business partners like Rocket Wash that recognize the value of volunteerism in our community,” said Vice President of Marketing Don Wadewitz. “While our volunteers don’t ask for anything, it’s always important to recognize people for doing a great job and Rocket Wash stepped up to help us do that for our team.”

Along with receiving a free Jupiter Wash, the volunteer chosen as the Rocket Wash Racine Raiders Volunteer of the Week will be recognized by posts on the team’s social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Rocket Wash is owned by Michael and Jim Willkomm. Michael played defensive end for the Racine Raiders from 1988-1995, playing on four national championship teams. He then served on the board of directors for 14 years. There are four Rocket Wash locations in Racine and Kenosha Counties. The most recent Rocket Wash opened just weeks ago at 6840 Washington Avenue in Mount Pleasant. The other Racine location is at Highway 31 and Spring Streets.
