Racine Raiders partner with Ticket Spicket for digital ticketing. The Racine Raiders are proud to announce a partnership with Ticket Spicket for digital ticketing in 2022. Ticket Spicket, based in Virginia and started in 2016, is the number one ticketing platform for high school athletics. In 2021, the Kenosha Unified School District used Ticket Spicket for all of their extracurricular ticketing needs. Recently, the Racine Unified School District and the Raiders signed on with Ticket Spicket.

“Ticket Spicket got high marks from KUSD,” said Vice President of Marketing Don Wadewitz. “It’s rare that an entire area has the same platform and this means that fans in our area won’t have to set up multiple accounts with multiple providers to purchase tickets for the Raiders and Racine and Kenosha high school sports. It should provide a better fan experience in our communities.”

Along with the digital tickets, the Raiders will continue to sell paper tickets for the 2022 season at their ticket outlets around Racine and at the Horlick Field box office. Fans will have the flexibility to use the digital system or a paper one. It also means that the Raiders will be able to accept credit cards to purchase tickets at the Historic Horlick Athletic Field box office. There will also be a “Fast Lane” available on game days where fans scan a QR code and can purchase tickets through Ticket Spicket for that game without creating an account. Those tickets will then be sent to them via a text message. Concessions will remain cash-only for 2022 but the team plans on adding a credit card option in 2023.

“Fans have been asking about purchasing tickets with credit cards for several years as we move to a more paperless society,” said Wadewitz. “This gives them the option to use a credit card online or at the ticket office on game day.”

There will be some changes that fans need to get used to with the new platform. Digital tickets can be purchased only for specific games. Paper tickets will have the option to be used for any games. The team is also launching a true season pass on the digital platform where fans can purchase a season ticket package consisting of one ticket to each regular season home game. Season tickets can be purchased at the adult, senior, or student discounted rates, as opposed to having to purchase just the adult tickets in five game packs in year’s past. The team will continue to offer a Family Pack, that can either be purchased online or at the box office on a game-by-game basis.

“The nice thing with the digital tickets is that fans can do what they want,” said Wadewitz. “If a fan buys a season pass but can’t make a game, they can just send those tickets to a friend that can use them.”

The team also announced that ticket prices will remain the same for the 14th straight year. The last increase came in 2008 when the team bumped adult and student tickets prices up one dollar each. Tickets will remain $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $4 for students. Tickets purchased at the ticket outlets cost $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3 for students. Season passes will be $54 for adults, $45 for seniors, and $27 for students.

“Most minor league and professional teams have increased their prices to try and make up for the past two years,” said Wadewitz. “The Raiders continue to double-down on our commitment to our fans by keeping ticket prices the same for the 14th straight year. Nobody else in our area can say that.”

To promote the digital ticketing option, the Raiders will also be absorbing the fees associated with buying tickets online for this season.

“Times are rough right now and we want to make sure Raiders games are the most affordable entertainment option in Racine and Kenosha,” said Wadewitz. “The low ticket prices combined with the massive entertainment value we have planned for this year positions the Raiders as the best sports entertainment option available in Southeast Wisconsin.”

Season passes will go on sale on Monday, April 4, 2022.
