The Raiders defense dominated from the start of the game forcing six turnovers as they took down the River City Rough Riders (6-4), 30-0, at home on Saturday. The Raiders extend their win streak to 22 games which puts them in sole position of the third longest winning streak in Raiders team history.

Antonio Dundy hunts down the River City quarterback.The Raiders offense continued their success by totaling just over 300 yards total yards while scoring two passing and two rushing touchdowns in their win over the Rough Riders.

The Raiders defense continued to dominate allowing just over 100 total yards while shutting out their opponent. The Raiders defense also added three sacks, four interceptions, and four fumble recoveries.

At the start of the game the Rough Riders received the opening kick and almost just as soon as they got it, the Raiders took it away with a Justin Benko interception to give the Raiders the ball at the Rough Riders three-yard line. This led to a Rashawn Herron three-yard touchdown rush. Brady Wodack came on for the extra point to make it 7-0 with just under 14 minutes remaining in the first quarter.

The Raiders defense stepped up once again, this time when Ronald Haggins forced a fumble and Gary Young Jr. picked it up, to give them possession at the Rough Riders 33-yard line. This led to a 38-yard field goal by Wodack to make it 10-0 with just under nine minutes remaining in the first quarter.Jashon Foster looks for running room after making a catch against River City

The Raiders next score of the game came just after halftime when Herron found the endzone once again, this time on a four-yard rush. Wodack came on for the extra point and made it 17-0 with just under eight minutes remaining in the third quarter.

The Raiders would score again this time when Andre Locke, Sr. connected with Jashon Foster for a 17-yard touchdown. Wodack came on and made it 24-0 with just over eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Raiders final score of the game came after an interception by Channing Schultz which gave the Raiders possession at their own 35-yard line. Sawyer Schick found Jacquez Woodland for a 16-yard touchdown and Wodack came on to make it 30-0 with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter.

Gary Young gets an interception off a pass tipped by Elvin Turner.Locke completed 16-of-27 attempts for 167 yards and one touchdown. Schick completed 2-of-2 attempts for 31 yards and one touchdown.

Dillion Flores led the way in receiving with three receptions for 43 yards. Foster added two receptions for 28 yards and one touchdown. Woodland tallied two receptions for 20 yards and one touchdown.  Darrell James added 34 yards on three receptions and Terrence Fitch totaled 30 yards on one reception.

Herron led the way rushing tallying 35 yards and two touchdowns on six attempts. Sean White added 43 yards on six attempts and Greg Kennedy added 35 yards on six attempts.

Young Jr. led the way defensively tallying eight tackles, one interception, and one fumble recovery. Haggins added four tackles, one sack, and two forced fumbles while Schultz led the secondary with four tackles and one interception.

The Raiders will host the St. Paul Pioneers next week at Historic Horlick Athletic Field with a 7 pm CT kickoff where the Raiders look to tie the 1994-1995 Raiders with 23 straight wins. It’s the annual Alumni Night game and six individuals will be inducted into the team’s hall of fame. The Raiders will also hold a short ceremony to raise the 2023 national championship flag during a special pregame festivity.
