The Racine Raiders received a 2-0 forfeit win over the Knoxville Grizzlies in the first round of the Gridiron Developmental Football League playoffs. The Grizzlies communicated throughout the week that they were making the trip and had booked their transportation. On Friday night, they notified Racine Raiders general manager Geoffrey Schick that they wouldn’t be making the trip to Racine.

The Raiders will advance to the Xtreme Conference championship game against either the Huntsville Rockets or Tri-City Outlaws. The conference championship game will be held at Historic Horlick Athletic Field on Saturday, August 17, with kickoff scheduled for 7 pm.

Any fans that purchased tickets in advance online will receive a full refund from Hometown Ticketing. The Racine Raiders apologize for the inconvenience.
