The Racine Raiders and Players Football Association are adding the Fayetteville (NC) Commandos to the 2025 schedule. The Commandos will fill the July 5 Armed Forces Appreciation Night game. The Commandos will be the seventh team on the Raiders 2025 schedule that are participating in a postseason bowl game. They will face the High Desert Rams on February 15 in Texas.
It’s appropriate to have the Commandos fill this special night. The Commandos are a veteran-owned team and nearly 20 of their players and their head coach are either veterans or active duty military members. Every branch of the military has been represented in a Commandos uniform except the Coast Guard and Space Force.
The Commandos started in 2013 and have an overall record of 143-53-1. They’ve amassed 74 wins since the 2021 season. They won the Coastal Football Association (CFA) last season. They will have two teams in two different leagues this year. The AAA Commandos team will play in the East Coast Football Association and the AA Bandos team will participate in the Carolina Elite Football Association.
